Sign, stand, wood pieces, letters and instructions.
You Need:
Acrylic craft paint, glue, paint brush
Prep:
Cover your table to protect it (I use freezer paper). Fill a small bowl or cup with water to rinse your brush.
Have paper towels available for clean up and drying your brushes.
Paint:
Arrange pieces as shown in example above. Paint each piece in your choice of colors. You can choose to
paint the sides of the pieces, or leave them brown. Light colors may require more than one coat of paint.
Paint the stand pieces. The stand is made from 4 layers, you only need to paint two layers:
Paint one that is 2.5” x 9” with a slot and one that is 3.5” x 10” with a slot.
Let all paint dry completely before gluing pieces.
Finish:
Glue stand in this order: Glue 2.5” x 9” pieces together with the painted piece on top, aligning outside edges.
Glue the painted, slotted 3.5” x 10” piece, centered on bottom of the 2.5” x 9” pieces, using the slot for alignment.
Glue the solid 3.5” x 10” piece to the bottom, aligning outside edges.
Be sure to not over-glue so that it oozes between the pieces or into the slots.
Glue wooden pieces and letter to sign. Allow glue to dry completely. Insert sign into stand.
Gluing sign into stand is optional. I don’t glue mine so it is easier to store.
Usage:
To use outside, seal completely with a clear poly spray.
